Carburetor

Carburetor is a vital element for your vehicle. If perawatanny not good, then most likely your car will 'fussy' when you DREVER.
That is a part or component that serves to change motor fuel from liquid form into the form of gas or liquid or spray / smog.
Where is the carburetor, should be able to mix between fuel and air with a special ratio is 1: 14.7 which means it is mixing with the scale, 1gram fuel with 14.7 grams of oxygen ...
Why show the number 14.7 ... .????
Yup, the rate of 14.7 in the can from the stoichiometric combustion of gasoline fuel with oxygen.
C7H16 + 14.7 O2 -> 7 CO2 + 8 H2O.
That is a simplification of the chemical process of combustion of gasoline with oxygen ...
-
* Ratio of the maximum output power.
On a machine that seseungguhnya, if we replace the ratio of air and gasoline about 13: 1 or it can be said rich mixture, then we can be a maximum ratio of output power.

* Ratio of maximum fuel efficiency.
Whereas if we change the fuel ratio in the opposite direction, namely 16: 1 or poor. Then we will find the ratio for maximum fuel efficiency.
From 2 of the above, we can conclude, if we want to fish more power, then we will play in the ratio of rich ... But if we want efficiency fuel efficient reply, then we'll play in poor mix.
Very hard to get a mixture of poor but powerful ... Definitely one to be sacrificed ...
BASIC PRINCIPLES carburetor.
At the time of suction step, where the piston moves from TDC toward the TMB resulted in the air inhaled through the air filter, then through the carburetor and into the cylinder. Using negative pressure or vacuum due to enlargement of space when the piston drops down, then when the air flow, the carburetor to the fuel-ization of atoms.
In a carburetor, there is an area that experienced narrowing of the channel or we call the "venturi", when the air passes through this venturi tunnel, the air flow velocity in the venturi area will increase, but otherwise the air pressure will decrease ...
By law bernaulli reply once I've learned, where ...
P / € + Vkuadrat / 2 + g.Z = constant
P = pressure (kPa)
V = velocity (m / s)
Z = height (m)
So it is clear that speed is inversely proportional to the pressure in a pipe flow.
Now, with the venturi principle had led to decreased pressure venturi area, even under atmospheric pressure environment .. Well this pressure differential that causes the energy difference between the area with an area venturi carburetor fuel bowl ...
That energy will flow from the high point to low point ...
The pressure in the carburetor fuel bowl is normal atmospheric pressure, while pressure in the venturi area under atmospheric pressure .. So moved was the gasoline from the gasoline in the carburetor bowl to the venturi area which has a lower pressure ... So petrol will go up through the main jet and the channel will become atom-ization into mist or spray.

Here are tips - tips that you can use to take care of your vehicle carburetor :

1. Cleaning the air filter or dust collector. Remove the air filter attached to the mouth of the carburetor, remove the foam filter and then cleaned with cleaning fluid and let it dry itself. Do not be cleaned by spraying them with high pressure air as it can cause damage to the pores of the foam filter tersebut.2. Cleaning the carburetor. Open the carburetor by removing the bolts fastener, close the carburetor, choke valve (choke) and valves of gasoline. Use the appropriate keys for these tools is not easy dol. Remove the carburetor components and place in a container containing a cleaning fluid, so you can easily just use the liquid gasoline.

2. Remove the carburetor bowl, float and float needle, main jet, pilot jet and others. Beware of small parts and seals or rubber protectors. We recommend that you place it in containers that are easily seen for at the time of installation do not confused look.
If you've released all of them then clean the carburetor with a brush, then spray the holes with high-pressure air. Use fine sandpaper to clean the dirt on the nozzle-nozzle. Do not be too much as it can cause changes mengamplasnya diameter nozzle.
Once clean, replace the nozzle-nozzle. Use a screwdriver nozzle and pengecangannya not too hard, just use two fingers on the tip of a screwdriver.

3. Set the float height. Before you install the components of the carburetor you should not forget to set the float height using gasoline or stigmat shove.

4. Assemble the carburetor. Put back the parts of the carburetor that had been removed. Raft carburetor and air filter with a pair back in the engine hole. Then set the motor on the machine state langsam life. Set spuyer winds by turning it clockwise until it got stuck and then turn back a few rounds in accordance with the standard engine or the condition of your motorcycle engine.

You also must set the tuner langsam bolts located on the edge of carburetor body. Set in an ideal state of engine heat. Suits do not be too low engine speed or slow because it will make the oil can not rise because it is not pumping due to low engine speed.

HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT :

Carburetor was invented by Karl Benz in 1885 and patented in 1886. In 1893 an engineer named János Csonka Hungarian nationality and donuts Bánki also design a similar tool. Was Frederick William Lanchester of Birmingham, England who first experimented using the carburetor on the car. In 1896 Frederick and his brother built the first car that uses gasoline fuel in the UK, powered single-cylinder 5 hp (4 kW), and an internal combustion engine (internal combustion). Not satisfied with the final result obtained, mainly due to the small power output, they rebuild the engine, this time they use the two horizontal cylinder and also redesign their carburetors. This time they were able to complete the tour cars along the 1,000 miles (1600 km) in 1900. This is a step forward in the automotive use of carburetor,

Commonly used for automobile Carburetor berhahan gasoline until the late 1980s. After a lot of electronic controls used in cars, use of carburetor being replaced by fuel injection systems because they are more easily integrated with other systems to achieve fuel efficiency.

DESIGN :

Carburetor can be classified according to the direction of air flow, barrel and venturi type. Each carburetor combine all three in its design.
[Edit] Direction of airflow
1. Flow down (downdraft), air entering from the top of the carburetor and then out through the bottom of the carburetor.
2. Flat flow (sidedraft), air entering from the side and flows with a horizontal direction and then exit through the other side.
3. The flow rises (updraft), as opposed to flow down, the air intake of the down and out through the top.
 Barrel

BARRELS :

Barrels are the airways in which there is a venturi.

1. Single barrel, having only one barrel. Generally used on motorcycles or cars with small engine capacities.
2. Multi barrel, memimiliki more than one barrel (generally two or four barrels), to meet the need for greater air flow, especially for machines with large capacity machines.

VENTURI :

1. Venturi Still, on this type of venturi size is always fixed. Regulate the gas pedal air valve which determines the amount of air flow through the venturi sehigga determine the amount of pressure to draw fuel.
2. Venturi move, on this type regulate the gas pedal venturi size by using a piston that can go up and down so as to form a venturi gap can be changeable. Rise and fall of a venturi piston is accompanied by a rise and fall of needle jet which regulates the amount of fuel that can be drawn and with air flow. This type is also called "constant pressure" because the air pressure before entering the venturi is always the same.

WORKING PRINCIPLE :

Basically, the carburetor works using Bernoulli's principle: the faster air moves, the smaller its static pressure, but the higher its dynamic pressure. Gas pedal on the car actually does not directly control the flow of fuel into the combustion chamber. Actual gas pedal control valve in the carburetor to determine the amount of air that can flow into the combustion chamber. The air moves in this carburetor that has the pressure to attract and fuel into the combustion chamber.

Most machines only have one fruit berkarburator carburetor, but some are using one carburetor for each cylinder that is owned. Modification was even a trend of motorcycle in Indonesia the use of multi-carbu (many carburetors) but this is usually only used as a decoration without any technical function. Early generation machines use a carburetor upward flow (updraft), where the air enters through the bottom of the carburetor and then out through the top. The advantage of this design is to avoid the occurrence of flooding the engine, because the excess liquid fuel will immediately spill out the carburetor and not to get into the intake mainfold; Another advantage is the bottom of the carburetor can be connected with the oil line so that there is a bit of oil that go into the air flow and used to wash the air filter, but using filter paper-based air purification using this oil is no longer needed today.
Beginning in the late 1930s, the flow carburetor down (downdraft) and flow laterally (sidedraft) began popouler used for automotive.

OPERATIONAL :

At all times the operation, the carburetor must be able to:
• Adjust the amount of air flow into the combustion chamber
• Distributing the fuel with the right amount in accordance with the flow of air enters the combustion chamber so that the ratio of fuel / air is maintained.
• Mixing of air and fuel diversion with perfectly flat and
The above items would be easily done if only gasoline and air are ideal fluid, but in reality, by their nature, namely the viscosity, fluid friction, fluid inertia, and so on karbrator become very complex in overcoming this situation is not ideal. Also, the carburetor must remain able to produce a mixture of gasoline / air right in any circumstances, because the carburetor must operate in temperature, air pressure, engine speed, and centrifugal force is very diverse. Carburetor must be capable of operating in a state:
• Start the engine in cold conditions
• Start in a state of heat
• langsam or running on low speed
• accelerated when suddenly open gas
• High speed with a fully open gas
• The speed of the gas is stable with most open in the long term
Modern carburetors also be able to reduce the amount of vehicle emissions
